In today's episode Sam and I hit on some of the hot (and not so hot) topics in the Nashville Predators community including Shea Weber's return, the change of power involved there and what Ryan Suter thinks of going back to being the "second guy," who is the best current Nashville Predator to put on a jersey, best and worst customizable jerseys seen around Bridgestone Arena as well as discussion about the current series against the Colorado Avalanche!

Great show
Thanks for doing these podcasts! I find myself holding off on buying a new gold jersey for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I also once received a christmas present from a girlfriend that had my name, a “C” and “06” on the back. Egregious on all accounts. Especially the number. Couldn’t even steal a player’s number right. It was an Authentic jersey, too. Just heartbreaking. Needless to say, she now bears an “ex-” before her title. I had to buy a discount Arnott jersey so I could bury that monstrosity in a closet.
Keep up the good work!!

Proud to bear the #1 jersey foul!
And for the record…
1. I’ve worn #35 for 20 years in beer leagues, and got it on my Preds jersey before Pekka Rinne had done anything for the Preds (summer 2008, I think).
2. “Forechecker” may have predated my Twitter account, I used to blog under that pseudonym. Not that a blog handle or Twitter handle make much difference…

Excellent Work!
Love that you guys are doing this! It’s awesome!
Sam, you’ve almost got me convinced that you don’t like most of the players on this team, but it’s not a bad thing. You guys should keep working the “positive guy” / “negative guy” angle. It’s good entertainment!
Glad nobody mentioned “no one out there is listening” this week. Folks are listening to you all! Don’t treat yourselves or the Predators like a small market team (whether they are or not) or else other news agencies will do so. You’re on an international stage here and you both know what you’re talking about, so more and more listeners will follow.
How about Gnash jerseys?
Thanks again for all your efforts Mark & Sam!!

That podcast... holy crap.
I could sit and listen to Marc and Sam all day. I know podcasting is new at OTF and it will feel weird doing the show for a while, but what you two have is gold. I loved the jersey discussion precisely because it was real— i.e.: this is what two guys having a genuine conversation sounds like. It wasn’t rehearsed, overly positive ("All of the Preds are AWESOME! Getting a jersey with ANY player’s name would be the best!!!), or gimmicky. I can easily pretend I’m sitting at a booth somewhere having a beer with friends and this is the conversation taking place. I love the chirps, Sam’s sarcasm, Marc’s attempts to stay on topic, the random awkward pauses, and I hope that as time goes on you guys won’t completely lose that. Congrats on the podcast, and congrats on being two guys I wouldn’t mind having a beer with— when you’re both old enough to drink that is. Babies.

Christmas Present
Love the show, so glad to be able to get updates on the preds since i dont listen to the radio that often. Wish it was more often but i cant have everything this early in the game. I have a dilemma that I want to run by you guys since you were talking about jerseys in this podcast. I received a blank preds jersey a few weeks ago for christmas and im very hesitant to wear it. Im a preds fans and go to many games but the colors of the jersey are just hideous. Instead of yellow/navy blue of there current home jersey, this jersey is royal blue almost to point of being a KY Wildcat blue. Its a reebok jersey but its no wonder my dad got it for a cheaper price then an authentic preds jersey. Im not sure what to do with it. You guys have any ideas?
