Suter responds to media coverage of his comments...
http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/14270/suter-irked-by-coverage-of-his-comments.
Maybe you should have thought about what you were going to say before you said it eh, Ryan?
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I have a little more hope for Suter now
But if he does decide to sign, I’m thinking short term deal. I’m thinking Weber goes for arbitration if that’s the case, but if not, both of them are out the door IMO.
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
No more arbitration for Weber
he either signs with us, we continue his present contract for one more year, or we choose to match or not match any offer sheets July 1st. Arbitration is not an option…
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Oh, I read somewhere on here he was eligible again
I thought so too that he couldn’t go for arbitration
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
He can elect arbitration. The team cannot.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Am I the only one who thought, "Well Ryan, what did you expect?"
I had to lol at that article.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Yeah, I just thought..
“Seriously Suter? Seriously?”
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I don't think there's a problem with what ryan said
the media guy took “I’m not resigning before the trade deadline” as “I’m testing the market july 1st.” seems like alot of media guys are jumping the gun with this.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
If all you listened to was Twitter, you would have thought he basically said “Eff Nashville, I’m up for sale!”
CAustin - January 28, 2012
i didn't not see it/them.
was it him saying it, or media guys putting words in his mouth?
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
He said it
but the media put their own spin on it.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
It was like a game of telephone from when you’re a kid. the quote was “I’m not signing before the deadline” and then the analysis began and warped it out of recognition.
I don’t know what specific media reports Suter was reacting to.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
ah gotcha, good analogy.
I love Suter and I honestly thinks he loves being here (who wouldn’t). Maybe he can nudge his friend ZP over here!!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Frozen hockey jerseys?
That is so cool
Aditya T (smashville) - January 28, 2012
jonesing
need hockey now… hurry already :P
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
3 more minutes...
HURRY UP.
davisca - January 28, 2012
hmmm rookie question...
looking over the events tonight i only see HB doing puck control in the skill challenge… wth? is there something else he is doing that i am missing?
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
I think each rookie is only allowed to compete in one event? (Is that right, everyone else?)
davisca - January 28, 2012
I think they can be in more than one, but at least one from each team has to be a rookie. Both Colin Greening and Carl Hagelin are in 2 events.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Thanks. It’s too bad that HB isn’t in fastest skater, cause I feel like he could rip that one up, but that’s okay. I feel like puck control is up his alley.
davisca - January 28, 2012
rookies only do skills competition.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
lame
one event… puck control in a relay event. hoping to see more of the HB. o well
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
I hate the fact that they removed the Rookie vs Sophmore game.
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
One of the few times I'm watching Hockey Night in Canada!
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
The Parliament building looks like Hogwarts.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Yeah, LOL
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
LMAO
love the all state peggy commercials
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
That is a great ad, yeah hahaha.
davisca - January 28, 2012
*Those are
I like the Tim Thomas one the best.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Even though it was DB Kane
it was pretty funny
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
LOL
like the Kane one, but yea, the tim thomas one is histerical
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
woot, dual languages
#learnsomething
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
FINALLY starting.
10 minutes after they said it would start. NBD.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Off topic but
Is anyone else worried about Tootoo being a UFA?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
I'm trying to ignore anything having to do with trades and stuff until later.
It’s just more than my brain can handle right now, haha.
davisca - January 28, 2012
agreed
i have gotten so emotionally attached to this team i dont want to even think about what happens when we lose 4 or 5 of our players
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
Yeah. For me it's just been talked about to exhaustion, a little bit.
I’ll worry about it when it’s time to worry about it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
nah. No news is good news. I’d be shocked to hear anything before summer on anyone other than Suter/Weber. Although anything’s possible.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I'd be devestated if he was gone...
When I was younger, I had a nightmare that Tootoo was traded to the Sharks and I had tears in my eyes waking up.
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
My kid wants to be Jordin Tootoo when he grows up.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Haha. How do you feel about that?
davisca - January 28, 2012
I feel like it’s gonna cost a whole lot of money.
But since he’s (the boy, that is) pretty much a little bowling ball already, it’s more or less appropriate.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
HAHA! That’s great.
davisca - January 28, 2012
o yea
our gold sticks on on this hd tv
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
That gold is beautiful.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Boooo Booooo!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Are they putting up pictures of the All-Stars when they were little kids?!
That’s AWESOME.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I want to hear Paul McCann calling the names
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
SUTES!!!
Awww, no one clapped for him :(
davisca - January 28, 2012
..
:(
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
I did
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I did.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
So did I!
davisca - January 28, 2012
i get the boo's...
to an extent… but i have it on good authority in our arena, there would be alot of cheers compared to boos.
TN Zac - January 28, 2012
I bet we would definitely boo Perry, and MAYBE the Wings players, but I bet that would be it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I already boo’d Perry.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
me too
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I boo’d Kane.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I said something similar to F*** Kane
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Approved.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I would never boo Datsyuk. Howard doesn’t bother me, either. I’d boo Bertuzzi, but he probably won’t be there again.
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
I’m with you.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Yay!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Oh, hey who’s there for Tampa?
davisca - January 28, 2012
Stamkos
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Right. Duh.
davisca - January 28, 2012
No Marty, though.
much sadness over that.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
He needs to just come join the Preds
we would appreciate him :))
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
The fans adore him. Apparently whoever makes up lists at the NHL, not so much.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I have a lot of respect for Marty.
I like him a lot.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He IS the Lightning. My very favorite player there.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
BOOOOOOOO
I hate Patrick Kane.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I think Shea Weber will get the cheers
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
He better.
Suter should have gotten SOME. Yandle got more than he did.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Here comes Honey Badger!!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Is it just me?
Or does Malkin look a little bit like Herman Munster?
Dumont'sShorts - January 28, 2012 via mobile
tiiiiiny bit.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Hey, cheers for HB! Awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Hahahaha, I liked Girardi's "point".
davisca - January 28, 2012
SHEA!
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
I think my telecast is ahead of most of yours
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
Neal and Hartnell actually high-fived the kids.
Good for them!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Isn't this Shea's 3rd appearance
or did I miss a year?
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I thought it was too...
davisca - January 28, 2012
2nd
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I just looked it up. 3rd, technically.
He was on the Young-Stars for a year, THEN All-Stars last year and this year.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I think third
the year before the Olympics, last year and this year. They said it was his fourth.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Then they must be counting the YoungStars.
MattBen - January 28, 2012
Ah yes
forgot about that one
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Here's what they have on Wiki:
NHL YoungStars Game – 2007
NHL All-Star Game – 2009, 2011, 2012
NHL First All-Star Team – 2011
davisca - January 28, 2012
(Link)
davisca - January 28, 2012
Well alrighty then
CAustin - January 28, 2012
What's a first team All-Star exactly?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
I think that means voted in on the starting roster? I have no idea.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Nah,
It’s like being one of the Allstars of the Allstars game. They vote a first team roster in the NHL just like they vote an MVP of MLB’sand the NBA’s allstar game.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
The End of Year Team
So the All-Star game happens in the middle of the seaon, right? When the season over and the media/coaches/GMs vote on awards, they also vote for an All-NHL 1st and 2nd Team.
MattBen - January 28, 2012
Right. There are only 12 of them as opposed to 40 something in the game.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
BINGO
In addition, in order to call a player an “All-Star”, it’s the post-season All-Star team which should be referred to, not just the number of times a guy has been to an All-Star Game.
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
Aaaah….. thanks for the corrections!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Which if I remember correctly
Was part of the problem with that weird ad thing that Weber’s agency made for him last summer. They referred to him as something like a 3 time NHL All-Star when at the time, he had only been selected to play in however many All-Star games and had never been selected for an post-season team.
Is that correct, Dirk?
MattBen - January 28, 2012
That whole thing was a train-wreck of factual and grammatical errors!
And let me tell you, his agent wasn’t happy that I posted it here.
http://www.ontheforecheck.com/2011/6/18/2230532/im-guessing-that-shea-weber-didnt-pick-his-new-agent-jarrett-bousquet
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
He won 2 All-Stars
hahahahahaha I had forgotten how funny that was.
MattBen - January 28, 2012
Did you hear from him about having posted it here?
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
I called them a few days later trying to see if I could ask questions for an article, and he was like “before we continue you need to retract what you posted…”
I said I’d post his side of things (which is the UPDATE you see at the link above), but not retract anything. It’s not like I had done anything wrong.
They never did respond when asked further about stuff. Noses bent out of joint, I suppose.
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
Wow. And, good for you!
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
As part of the awards, the press votes for 1st and 2nd All-Stars. Not connected to the All Star Game, as I understand it.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
3rd
2009, 2011 and this year, 2012.
MattBen - January 28, 2012
So..
Do we cheer for Team Chara (Suter) or Team Alfredsson (Weber, Smith) ?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
Meh.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
There's not exactly gonna be a lot of defense
so we won’t have alot to cheer for
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Except for maybe with Weber… but he isn’t gonna want to kill anyone, so maybe not Weber.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Who are Columbus going to ballot-stuff for next year?
I can see Nash, but then?….
Of course Nash, Carter and Prospal are the only player I could pick out from a lineup. Still a disappointing choice I think for next year’s ASG
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Vorachek?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
haha that's just cruel.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Steve Mason?
LOL..
davisca - January 28, 2012
oh i know!!!!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
I’m not talking about him
CAustin - January 28, 2012
HAHAHA
Well done, sir. Well done.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Like DGB said on twitter today...
Well the whole too many hometown players on the All-Star team won’t be a problem next year.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
what are they planning to do to combat that?
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
not have any players worth voting for
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Aw, goalie skating!
I always love this.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Lundqvist begged Alfie to not pick him for this...haha
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Hmm... I don't like how they're doing it this year.
The old one was better.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Does Jimmy Howard have a camera on his head?
davisca - January 28, 2012
yep
Kevin Woodley @KevinisInGoal
Jimmy Howard must really trust goal mask, nothing screams “hit this” louder than helmet cam
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Goalie speed skating? Wut?
That owns.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Was it Thomas who ate it last year?
davisca - January 28, 2012
yep
CAustin - January 28, 2012
MOAR GOALIE RACING!!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Who are y'all for?
Team Alfredsson or Team Chara?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
I’m saying Alfie, just cause there are two Preds on it. Individually, though, I’m pulling for Suter on Chara.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Alfredsson
He picked Logan!
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
I care not.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Ah man, Yandle lost an edge or something.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Aahaha did I see highlights in Hagelin's hair???
davisca - January 28, 2012
Cool hair makes you skate better.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Then Team Alfie
is a shoe in to win it
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
They do have the best flow in the league.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
oooooooooh he thinks he’s soooooooooooooooo hip.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Frank Finnigan...
That is not an attractive outfit.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Pierre McGuire
Quit creeping the players.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
But... that... that's what he DOES!
davisca - January 28, 2012
GO LOGAN
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Boo Perry
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
This
davisca - January 28, 2012
“I’m so creepy. Don’t look into my eyes. You’ll be hypnotized and I’ll talk about your big stick.” Pierre McGuire.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Aahahahaha
davisca - January 28, 2012
Now he can talk about Perry’s small stick.
If I make a sign that says “Perrry has a small stick in his pants.” will someone else hold it during warm-ups next time the Ducks come to town?
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
Rules for this thing say:
Routine? Long program? short program?
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I wanna see some ballet spins going up up.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Oh Patrick Kane...
That was terrible.
davisca - January 28, 2012
What's on top of elliot's mask?
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Camera
davisca - January 28, 2012
Ohhh
Must be for NBC
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Oh, yeah I guess so. I’m watching the HNC feed, so I have no idea.
davisca - January 28, 2012
It’s not getting shown on NBC, either. Maybe later.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
HAH, I love that they mic'ed Carey Price up.
That was a very good choice.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Ok…. that was impressive from Perry
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yes. Yes it was.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Yeah, that was pretty cool.
Too bad he dropped the puck though.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Still turned out well.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Mhm.
davisca - January 28, 2012
BOOOOOOOOO!!!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
BOOOOOOO!!!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
not bad
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Price is a goof.
Haha
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
I'm very much enjoying his commentary.
davisca - January 28, 2012
That was pretty awesome.
Too bad he missed it but that was cool.
davisca - January 28, 2012
OOOOhhhhhhhh… wow.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
nice job Seanny Boy!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Oh god....
Here we go…
davisca - January 28, 2012
Sigh....
That was pretty freaking cool.
davisca - January 28, 2012
That was pretty sweet too.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Kane finally managed to pull that one off
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yeah, that first attempt was really just terrible, haha.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He’s been trying to that stomach slide move for a couple years now
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Oh yeah, he has hasn’t he?? I hadn’t thought about it til you mentioned it, but I do remember that now.
davisca - January 28, 2012
OooOoooh... nifty!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Daaaang
Nice one, Tavares
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
That was impressive
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
Perry... that was really weak...
davisca - January 28, 2012
Is it just me?
Or does EVERYONE suck…
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
Tavares' shot was pretty cool, and Kane's was creative.
But other than that? Yeah. Carey Price is stealing the show, haha.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Do you guys have Price on the mic on your broadcast?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
Yeah, I’m watching Hockey Night in Canada.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Aww.. Logan. :(
You can do better!
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
can we just not interview hockey players at all?....
soooooo awkward…
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Yeah, you have to be pretty careful about who you talk to hahaha...
Price, for instance, has been great.
davisca - January 28, 2012
yeah he's funny
i love the video from last year when he was talking to Thomas about Shea Weber’s slapshot, and Thomas was just like “Who is this guy?”
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Haha, I kinda remember that.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Kane's move was pretty sweet
hurts to say that
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I hate admitting that too.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I voted for him
Both the 2nd and 3rd attempts were great.
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
That was awesome on Price's part.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Can we just vote that the goalies win?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Price is hilarious.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I wish I could hear what he’s saying
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Do you not have audio or something?
davisca - January 28, 2012
He’s not on the mic for NBC
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Which is just a sad, sad thing.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Aw, that really, really sad. He’s a chill guy. Very fun to listen to.
davisca - January 28, 2012
We can hear what he's saying in Canada haha, we got him mic'd
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
I always vote for the goalies.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Of course you do :P
davisca - January 28, 2012
Carey price
is pretty awesome
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Tavares. Whoa.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Tavares might have this
Smooth
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
BOOOOO!!!!!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Did Perry just pull out his... stick?
davisca - January 28, 2012
He pulled out his wittle stick.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
D*** you garden gnome for making me laugh.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
and his gnome stick
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
CP and CP are cracking me up
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
LOL!
davisca - January 28, 2012
What jersey was Coutoure wearing?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Ottawa 67’s
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Ahh. Thanks. I looked down and looked back up and was like uhh… did he get traded from the Sharks mid skills competition?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Ottawa 67s
junior team?
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Ottawa 67's jersey
I believe
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
What number do I text for Coture?
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
Quick observations before I go to work...
Carey Price is cool. Perry has a little stick.
Josiah2729 - January 28, 2012
Aaaaand.....
END SCENE!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Hate Corey Perry
but definitely was one of the more entertaining guys on that challenge.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
My feelings for Patrick Kane.
davisca - January 28, 2012
yeah he's been funny too.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
I would love to see Lindback participating in these
sitting on his butt eating a pack of gummy worms. feet wagging from side to side.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
ha!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Hahah!!
I want to see that, too!
davisca - January 28, 2012
sitting on top of the net...
with his legs dangling over, swinging them back and forth like windshield wipers while eating a giant bag of gummi bears singing “It’s a Small World”. #winnerrightthere
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
woot!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
it's a very small world for a "tall goalie"
takes a shot
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
His legs are probably long enough to block most of the net anyway.
davisca - January 28, 2012
that’s what I was thinking
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
5-pound gummy bears

"Hardest shot featuring Zdeno Chara..."
What, no Shea Weber?
davisca - January 28, 2012
“Who’s Shea Weber”- NBC Sports Exec
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
I have a feeling Weber's going to be overlooked for the Norris again this year.
just like Trotzy will this year with the Adams…
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Man, I hope not.
Trotz might not get it, but I think Weber will.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I think Trotz deserves it more than anybody.
They’re going to give it to the Sens coach for the same reason that Trotz deserves it every year…it makes me sick…
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Just like Poile with GM of the year
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
If Lidstrom announces he's retiring. He'll win.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Of course he would.
Not that he wouldn’t deserve it, but… Weber.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I think Chara's going to end up winning it
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
I wish Craig Smith was doing the breakaway challenge
he could somehow incorporate a live honey badger into his shot.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
He’d just skate out there and devour a cobra
3DLink - January 28, 2012
He'll do the same thing he did with the empty net shot
and then grab a microphone and say, “Honey Badger doesn’t give a shit”
Craig, please give the microphone back…
“No, Honey Badger takes what it wants*
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
HAH!
davisca - January 28, 2012
He could put in an XXL (or whatever fits over his pads) "honey badger don't give a damn" shirt.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Suter's giving GREAT passes.
Per usual.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Kessel's the one that F'd it up for Seguin...duh
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Too bad there's not a competition for touching up icing.
That’s what he’s awesome at doing.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
He is quite excellent at that.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He would be money in the Soccer competition
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
booter suter
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Aw :(
davisca - January 28, 2012
Wow...
lookit that HAIR.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Stamkos needs a haircut...
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Sorry CAustin,,,
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
this is a common theme on the Lightning game threads. But he apparently has a shampoo deal in Canada. :(
CAustin - January 28, 2012
HAHA, seriously??
davisca - January 28, 2012
he's the next Troy Polamalu
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
“Did you use my shampoo???”
“Yeah.”
davisca - January 28, 2012
True story
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Haha, just skates up and finishes the job.
That’s funny.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Stamkos is good as I am in that in NHL 12
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
ZING
davisca - January 28, 2012
And now you know why the Lightning are in the bottom of the league right now. They’re all doing that this year.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
HB hanging out with Weber and... who is that? #24? Read?
davisca - January 28, 2012
24 in Flyers orange is Read
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I think it’s funny HB’s hanging out with Weber. It’s like a little kid clinging to his mommy when he doesn’t know anybody.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Dad gum Benn rocked that.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
made it look easy
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
He’d look good in gold, too.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Hossa...
This’ll be interesting. I hate to say it, but that guy is a beast.
davisca - January 28, 2012
he loves playing us.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Hossa and his highlights....smh
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Yeeeah...
Also, ironically, he kinda looks like a bird of prey… a hawk or something.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Hm. That view - Kessel ain't a great passer.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Whoa, Benn KILLED that dead.
davisca - January 28, 2012
SK74 would kill this!
Bakht Khan - January 28, 2012
would he not pass it back first?
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
No he wouldn't. He'd get confused and pass it back.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Maybe not. Sergei gets one shot a game. It could take him upwards of a week to hit all four targets
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Can they MAKE him shoot though?
I feel like he’d just pass it back on instinct…
davisca - January 28, 2012
just replace the targets with pictures of Erat
ok Serge, pass it to Erat!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
That'll do it!!
davisca - January 28, 2012
Yeah, but he’s have to hit all four targets at once cause we know he’s not taking a second shot.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Ha!
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Can the Preds get Benn in a trade
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Yes please.
Assuming this isn’t just a “Sergei” year for him.
davisca - January 28, 2012
No way
He’s a cornerstone for the Stars at just 22. No way they give him up.
MattBen - January 28, 2012
You know what trick shot I'd like to see at some point?
I want the goalie and shooter to meet each other half way, switch sticks, and then have the goalie take the shot on the player.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Oooh, that's a really good idea!!
davisca - January 28, 2012
I want to see the goalie and skater stop and play hackey sack with the puck
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
More girls standing there than boys!
That’s pretty awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Anybody know what ring CreePierre is wearing?
Dumont'sShorts - January 28, 2012 via mobile
"CreePierre" - that is awesome.
And no, no idea. I actually haven’t seen him yet!! (Perhaps cause I don’t have NBC? WOOHOO!)
davisca - January 28, 2012
He’s got two cup rings as a scout and then an assistant coach with the Penguins back in the 90s.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I guess asst coach is ok, but it sorta seems douchey to me to be wearing it.
Dumont'sShorts - January 28, 2012 via mobile
Pierre is generally a douchey guy, so that seems appropriate.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I was just about to say that.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
stanley cup ring
penguins asst coach, w mario…..he was a coach with the Sens shortly thereafter in there expansion years, and flashed the ring back then on occasion
disappointed TV folks didn’t focus more on Couture’s 67’s jersey (his actual jersey from Ottawa), got a nice rise from the crowd
PekKarlsson - January 28, 2012
Razor5Hole Daryl Reaugh
Benn took out those targets like they were appendix #deadlyaccurate
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Reaugh
razor clever there! funny man
PekKarlsson - January 28, 2012
That was exactly what I thought as well.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Nicely done.
davisca - January 28, 2012
talking about Crosby...
why am I not surprised..
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
The neck injury thing?
davisca - January 28, 2012
Because there is actually news not speculation
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Whoa... there's a MOVIE about Don Cherry?!
Dude.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Yeah, Diehard 1 and 2 are both based around Cherry
3DLink - January 28, 2012
So was Weekend at Bernies
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
I though that was Blowhard 1 & 2
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Hahaha!!
Seriously though, it’s called “Keep Your Head Up, Kid: The Don Cherry Story.”
davisca - January 28, 2012
Isn't that a Porno?
I don’t wanna see that.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
win
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
his pre-Liberace wardrobe days
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Shut up dudes i want to see Honey Badger!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Me tooo!
And I want him to be awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
They didn't use Weber,
because the high speed camera could not catch his shot.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
They tried
but it broke the camera
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Also because
he would have just taken out the top two targets and refuse to acknowledge the bottom two. His shot does not go LOW! What is this “low shot” you are talking about?
davisca - January 28, 2012
That was an incredibly disappointing breakdown of slap shots. Talk about the absolute bare bones basics.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Wait...
Was this the “science of slap shots” thing?
davisca - January 28, 2012
yep
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I watched that the other night!
I was really disappointed they didn’t use Weber or Chara. Nothing against the Stars, but if you’re gonna talk about slap shots, shouldn’t you use one of the big two? They also didn’t even HAVE any shots of Weber or Chara taking a slap-shot, if I remember correctly.
davisca - January 28, 2012
too much awesomeness
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Yeah, they basically told us that the player shifts his weight and flexes the the stick using the ice and then hits the puck. It would’ve been far more interesting to look at musculature, stick lengths, and stuff like that…. or not used like grade school science terms.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I agree.
davisca - January 28, 2012
It’s intended for grade school.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
You know what I'd like to see?
I would bet my bottom dollar that when they talk about a “heavy shot”, that probably has to do with a puck that has more spin on it, giving it rotational inertia. I haven’t seen that broken down anywhere, though.
Dirk Hoag - January 28, 2012
Yes, that would be very interesting
3DLink - January 28, 2012
It's for elementary school kids
Give them a break.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I would if they did anything more other than teach vocabulary with that segment.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
You have to start somewhere. If you don’t know the words, you can’t learn the rest.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I think it was a throw away segment, you think it fulfilled its purpose, and that’s just fine.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Your thoughts for stars of the show so far?
My votes would be for
Carey Price.
Patrick Kane.
Brian Elliott.
PekKarlsson - January 28, 2012
Around the Horn sucks.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Where did that come from?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
There was a commercial for it.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Ah, I always really like this part of the competition!
davisca - January 28, 2012
The Pekka goalie show thingy was much better
plus it’s Pekka.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Agreed.
davisca - January 28, 2012
The Pekka goalie show thingy was much better
plus it’s Pekka.
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
I agree
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
In case you didn't hear, the Pekka goalie show was much better
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
IS IT BETTER????
davisca - January 28, 2012
much better.
Josiah2729 - January 28, 2012 via Android app
I hear Pekka’s pretty tall….
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Drink
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
What happened?! Did Tits shoot the puck?!
davisca - January 28, 2012
…but not the tallest
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
THIS would have been the best part for Suter.
Passing accuracy!
davisca - January 28, 2012
I just said that on Twitter
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
WEBER!!
Destroy that, please.
davisca - January 28, 2012
#twss?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Haha, Stamkos with the hat so he can actually see what he's doing.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Oh, I guess HB is in the second heat for Team Alfie
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yeah, I was very confused for a second there.
davisca - January 28, 2012
it just wouldn’t be fair to stack the first heat with two Preds
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Too much win.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I’m glad the team scoring is tighter than it was last year. It makes the events more interesting.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I was just thinking that. Seems pretty evenly matched.
davisca - January 28, 2012
DAMN, that was phenomenal by Benn.
davisca - January 28, 2012
seriously
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Time for the Honey Badger to shine….. light the morning sunlight through honey.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
He won’t give a damn.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He never does.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
That lazy f***.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Ha, I like that the Sedins are both doing the passing thing.
That’s funny.
davisca - January 28, 2012
HONEY BADGER DESTROYING!
davisca - January 28, 2012
WOOO!
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Badger!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
ONE HAND ON THE STICK!!
That’s AWESOME.
davisca - January 28, 2012
That one handed thing was awesome… it even impressed the announcing crew.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
No kidding! That’s excellent – some GOOD national attention for the HB.
davisca - January 28, 2012
HB rocked that!!!
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
hell ya that was awesome
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
Honey Badger does not care!
The end!
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
HB didn't give a %$#^ about no cones...or gatorade bottles.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
GAAAAAATTOORRAAAAAADDDEEEE
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
He just pretended they were Blue Jackets defenders.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
If they had a hardest Punch contest
would Horny be the punching bag?
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
That very last heat was fastest.
I’m gonna attribute it to HB, even if it was probably due to Sedin.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Holy hell Honey Badger
That was nuts
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
It was his ONE chance to show off his skillz.
And MAN did he show them off.
davisca - January 28, 2012
If you like real close, I think he took a drink from the gatorade bottle.
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
Team Sweden/Hair
3DLink - January 28, 2012
slash Sens slash Canucks
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Do any of the Swedes besides Lunqvist have good hair, though?
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Its just that there are lots of Swedes and they team also is full of guys with flow.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yes but is there any crossover?
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I think Karlsson is Swedish
3DLink - January 28, 2012
And that's some hockey hair, alright
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Classic "oiled back" Bobby Lou look.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Did you see HB go up to Weber after that and be like
…“dad did I do good? Did I, did I?”
tehe
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Haaha, I missed that, but that’s great.
davisca - January 28, 2012
jessespector Jesse Spector
BREAKING: Columbus Blue Jackets to install mini-nets for rest of season, “in preparation for 2013 All-Star Weekend.”
Steve Mason still won’t be able to stop anything.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Hahahahahahahahahahah!!!!
so mean…but so true
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I wish they would interview HB :(
davisca - January 28, 2012
LOL at the commercial.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Hartnell pulling for Weber!
Love it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I always get so nervous during this part.
davisca - January 28, 2012
That’s because its the only thing during the ASG that matters
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yeah, probably.
davisca - January 28, 2012
come on Webby, it's your time!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
I want him to rip it THROUGH the net like he did during the Olympics.
davisca - January 28, 2012
There's someone behind the net.
I’d be terrified.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Then they should get the &$#% out of the way.
davisca - January 28, 2012
(But yes, I would be terrified, too.)
davisca - January 28, 2012
Lawsuit.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
wow, impressive from Alfredsson
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Dang.
Alfredsson just crushed that.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
101..
Not bad at all.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Really impressive, yeah.
davisca - January 28, 2012
That second one looked even better.
101.3
davisca - January 28, 2012
Are we done with the boys yet?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Bring out the only two people who really matter.
davisca - January 28, 2012
meh, we have to sit through the ultimate poseur
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I’ve been told that patience is a virtue. I disagree right now.
davisca - January 28, 2012
101.3 too, nice. Fast on that swing!
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Phanuef-=Overrated
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Agreed.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Alfie and Spezza!
holy cow
PekKarlsson - January 28, 2012
come on Shea!
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
SHEA WEBER!!!
Kill it, buddy. Kill it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
OVERRATED!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Let's Go Weber!
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Go go go go go
davisca - January 28, 2012
HOLY CRAP!
104.9!!!
davisca - January 28, 2012
So easy
3DLink - January 28, 2012
COME ON! Stop it Chara
3DLink - January 28, 2012
106.2?!
You’re kidding me.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
i hope chara tweaks his elbow
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
108.8…
3DLink - January 28, 2012
108.8....what the hell
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
108.8 geez
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
Wow.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Oh my god
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
108.8!!!!
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Hooooooollllllly Crap
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Good god.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
I'm guessing Weber isn't beating that :/
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
chara's a juicer
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Illegal stick
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
What did Shea get on his second one?
MattBen - January 28, 2012
I dunno... what happened with that??
It just kinda disappeared on my feed and they didn’t talk about it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
106!
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
nice 106, Not much chance against chara tho
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
Dude's just too tall.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
indded
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
He's a monster.
davisca - January 28, 2012
well, Shea beat Chara’s speed last year :/
3DLink - January 28, 2012
check chara's body for robotic parts
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Well, Weber got 106.
That’s still massively impressive.
108.8 is INSANE. Holy shit.
davisca - January 28, 2012
106 for Shea!!
If you take the physics into account…Weber’s is way more impressive. One of you physics people need to make the size adjustment and we’ll see who is better.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
put Weber on stilts
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Chara is just a slap shot machine, just like Lance Armstrong was a biking machine. Sometimes genetics just puts you on a pedestal above everyone else.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Isn't Link is a physics person? Or am I making that up?
davisca - January 28, 2012
I mean, I like physics, but I wouldn’t say i’m a “physics person”
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Ah, okay. Maybe that’s just what I’m remembering.
davisca - January 28, 2012
In that case, adjusted for size, I think Tootoo wins it.
cisar - January 28, 2012
When Vandy compared them
Toots was not too far from Shea so you’re probably right.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Wait, when did Vandy do that??
What exactly were they looking at?
davisca - January 28, 2012
They were comparing slap shots
of Franson, Tootoo and Weber for the physics dept. There’s a video out there some where.
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Nice effort by Shea
I don’t see anyone beating 108.8 though. Daaaaaaamn.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
AKHL guy will get 125.9mph at their skills competition.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
lol
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Hahaha.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Yeah
But that’s Russian miles. Clearly different.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
They a;ready set the new record last week
117 point something…total horse shit
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Did they measure the speed almost directly off the stick?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
How old is Chara? Weber’ll still be around when Chara retires.
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
There is no shame to lose to a guy who shoots a 108.8.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
Absolutely not.
Weber looked pretty damn happy!
davisca - January 28, 2012
I've had cars that did not go as fast as those two shoot.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
do you drive a Nissan Leaf?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
No, but in a Leaf of Volt, it would not go as far either.
TCountyPred - January 28, 2012
Rescue panther…. incredible commercial.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I agree.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
I was kind of zoned out until my attention was grabbed at those two improbable words. It ended fantastically.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I clearly didn’t get that ad… I’m gonna look that one up.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Its a Geico ad
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I remember when Chara was a Thoroughblade
The Herald-Leader had him on the front page of the sports section, towering over the UK basketball team.
I wonder if I saved that somewhere…
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Hartnell coaching up HB.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Probably telling him how great it is to play for a team that spends to the cap each year.
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
Goalies are up.
See y’all later.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
So, does HB make it passed the first round?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Does EVERYONE go?
I thought it was just a few, select guys.
davisca - January 28, 2012
oh, I thought everyone went. I guess you’re right though.
Didn’t they used to just have everyone go?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
I thought they used to....
I just thought I saw a roster for it on NHL.com. Too bad. It’d be much more fun if everyone went.
davisca - January 28, 2012
What a sick move by Stamkos
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Oh dang, Stamkos.
That was nice nice.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Stamkos looks ridiculous with that hat on
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012

CAustin - January 28, 2012

vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Aaaah, haha. That was awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I'd like to think
Pekka woulda had Spezza poke checked
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Haha, that was so awesome when he did that vs. Chicago.
That guy was totally not expecting it.
davisca - January 28, 2012
The Bruins are always ruining things for the Flyers, even at that ASG
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Boo :(
davisca - January 28, 2012
Team Alfie has the better goalies.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012

JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012

davisca - January 28, 2012

3DLink - January 28, 2012

jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012

TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
SO SAY WE ALL
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Thomas slammed the door on that one.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I'd like to see Howard give up all 4 goals.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Haha
you might get your wish
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
I like watching people score on Howard
3DLink - January 28, 2012

TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012

jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Quick!
PekKarlsson - January 28, 2012
LETANG!
That was awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Howard can’t make a save without Lidstrom.
LuvthePreds - January 28, 2012
Kimmo Timonen is awesome.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Kimmo is still awesome
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
Kimmo doing work!
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
KIMMO
I still miss you.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Quick was lost on that one
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Wow, that was pretty.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Wait, Suter?
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Yeah… he’s not so much a shoot-out guy, eh? He didn’t really seem to have an idea of what to do.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He looked happier when it was over
3DLink - January 28, 2012
That he did, haha. He didn’t look too thrilled going into it either.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Haha. Suter is so NOT a shoot-out guy.
davisca - January 28, 2012
ugh he just shot
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
LOL
Crossbar for suter.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Whooooa... Lundquist...
davisca - January 28, 2012
All the ladies in the front row just started ovulating after that save.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Wow. Lundquist.
That’s awesome.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Stammers!
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Doing the splits. I felt my beans hurt on that one.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
That was AWESOME by Stamkos.
davisca - January 28, 2012
OMG.
Stamkos with the spin.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
Stamkos? Woah.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Show off!
That was awesome though
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Tavares.
He wins.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Team Flow is just working over Team Chara
3DLink - January 28, 2012
En Fuego.
Awesome.
jasonkylebates - January 28, 2012
this is going to over today, tomorrows game won't matter
IG-PRED8 - January 28, 2012
Aw, Kimmo almost had it!
That’s ok though.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Team Alfie has the FAR FAR superior goalies.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Pretty much.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Goalie confusion.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I want Pominville to win this…. because its Pominville.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
He seems like a pretty cool guy.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Think there’s any way the Preds could get him?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Sabres are likely going to be sellers
3DLink - January 28, 2012
If he waives his NTC.
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Stamkos.
Sick.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Stamkos is unreal
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
Aw, no for Pominville.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Good for Stamkos though!
He deserved that one.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Please, Pierre, don’t laugh directly into the mic
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Thank god I don’t have to watch Pierre.
Although I’m kind of sad I get to miss his obnoxious antics.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Pierre, please shutup
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Who is he interviewing?
davisca - January 28, 2012
Stamkos
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Poor Stevie.
davisca - January 28, 2012
He really wanted McGuire to stop touching him.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
That’s the story of CreePierre’s life.
davisca - January 28, 2012
But he hates “Steve”. It’s “STEVEN,” I’ve been informed.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
That’s really funny.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Apparently he’s made a point of it.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Stamkos
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Stamkos deserved that one.
What an incredible talent.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Haha, have you seen Moulin Rouge?
“HE’S GOT A HUGE TALENT!”
davisca - January 28, 2012
No
And TWSS
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Ah, that’s too bad. Great movie. But yeah, TWSS is pretty appropriate to that part of the movie.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Team Hair DESTROYED, dang!
davisca - January 28, 2012
That’s the night. I guess we’ll reconvene here… on Tuesday I guess.
3DLink - January 28, 2012
Not tomorrow?
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
I'm gonna miss most of the game tomorrow :(
Hopefully I’ll be back for the 3rd period.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Progressive needs to retire Flo...
JBoogie22 - January 28, 2012
Hahaha
“Out here getting booed by so many great fans.”
Line of the night, imo.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
That was pretty excellent.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Hey NBCSN Let's show Suter Stripping
I’m sure it’s what everybody wants to see #sarcasm
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
LOL
davisca - January 28, 2012
OMG. That’s exactly what I said. Without the sarcasm. though.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
Ladies…
DonBorvio - January 28, 2012
Night ya’ll
TitanPredBearFan - January 28, 2012
CBC talking about how much HB impressed them.
Heck yes.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
YAY!
My feed went out, but that’s cool.
davisca - January 28, 2012
I’m betting the NHL Network will air the CBC feed. I’ll watch that at 10.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
Reiterating what was mentioned above...
What happened with Weber’s 2nd shot? Did he miss and they just didn’t count it, or did he beat Chara and they just so happened to “fail to tell us the speed”, or what?
davisca - January 28, 2012
I don’t remember which one he missed. but he did miss one.
CAustin - January 28, 2012
I think he missed the net
And so it didn’t get a speed reading.
Old Kentucky Shark - January 28, 2012
He missed
If you miss it doesn’t record it.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
I thought you got a second shot if you missed it? Didn’t they do that last year, or am I remembering wrong?
davisca - January 28, 2012
I don’t rightly recall.
vols7381 - January 28, 2012
No--
it’s when the machine fails to record a speed that you get another shot. In past years, that often happened if you got any height at all on it, but they seem to have a better gun this year.
silverpie - January 28, 2012
Aaah, that’s right. I couldn’t remember what exactly happened last year, what with all the weird stuff that happened during Ovechkin’s shots. Thanks.
davisca - January 28, 2012
Just watched it again.
He shot it so hard his right hand (bottom hand) actually fell OFF of the stick, which directed the puck wide. Yikes?
