Welcome back, Chris Mueller - with Mike Fisher and/or Patric Hornqvist possibly unavailable for tonight's game vs. Vancouver, the Preds have called up the versatile forward from Milwaukee. With Hornqvist and Brian McGrattan on Injured Reserve, this move brings the Predators to 23 on the Active Roster, which is the limit.
An excerpt from the team's press release follows...

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Mueller (KRIHS MEW-luhr) from Milwaukee (AHL).
Mueller, 25 (3/6/86), has been recalled twice already this season, going pointless in four NHL games. The West Seneca, N.Y., native is ranks seventh in the AHL in goals in addition to being tied for the League lead in game-winning goals (6). The 5-11, 203-pound center - who appeared in the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic last month - also leads the Admirals in points (23g-15a-38pts) through 48 games in 2011-12.

Maybe this game will be his breakout game. Some players take longer to learn how to play in the big leagues. Some never do. Mueller will learn the art. tonite.

Trotz saying his call-up is insurance as the flu bug seems to be going around the locker room. Wish he would stick. Wonder if he could be part of a trade for Roy since he is from Buffalo, Assume he wouldn’t mind going to play for his hometown’s team and they might like a Buffalo boy with some skills at center.
