As I mentioned in last night's Game Thread, thanks to those of you who have bought Nashville Predators tickets using the OTF Discount, I recently hit a milestone within the team's Ambassadors Club, and as a reward, they gave me two seats on the glass (known as the Lexus Inner Circle Front Row) to last night's game. Unfortunately, the seats didn't come with a Lexus.
Sure, there are some times when you can't see the action so well (I did miss Luongo's amazing save on Colin Wilson in the 2nd period), but if you ever have the chance to sit down close to the ice, I highly recommend giving it a shot (one way to try and get them cheap is with our partner, TiqIQ). You get a whole new appreciation for just how vicious these bastards can be to each other, late in a tied game where every possession counts (the amount of stickwork was just brutal). There were a few things I noticed:
And now, on to your morning hockey notes!

As always after a game, I recommend surfing through the "Other Predators Sites" box on the left-hand side of the front page here at OTF, pretty much every blog in town has a recap from last night.

Thanks Dirk!
Glad you got those seats. I know a little about how much work you put into the blog, so I’m glad you and your wife were able to get something nice in return.

I was lucky enough to get seats on the glass.
For the Toronto back back before the holidays. Got to see HB whiff that empty netter from about 20 feet away. Good times….
TheEchoSierra - February 8, 2012
Hey, you a Predators fan?
In Toronto??
Klein(er) - February 8, 2012
Nope, sorry.
That was a home game.
TheEchoSierra - February 8, 2012
yeah i've sat down by the glass once when we faced min. back in dec.
got to see pekka up close since i was down on the preds side. You could see the intensity in his eyes and movements. You may not be able to see the other end that great and you will miss things going on at the other end. But if gives you a whole new perspective. you can see expressions and just feel the energy coming from the game. That and i got to see McGrats crazy face up close…creepy…

Yeah, it’s really cool to sit on the glass once or twice, just to get an idea of how freaking INSANE professional hockey is… the speed, the strength, the passion, the required vision…
davisca - February 8, 2012
well...
Mark Prospal off the list…
Preds of State - February 8, 2012
Although I'd like Prospal
He’s not our answer, I don’t believe. If we could have gotten him in conjunction with someone else, I’d be happy though.
Maybe they’re extending to increase his trade baitness (it’s a word now).
